We’re counting down the days to the FREE Candid Summer Seminar, happening July 16–18, 2025 at our Candid Color Systems headquarters right here in Oklahoma City! 1. Cheever’s Cafe

If comfort food had a five-star upgrade, it would be called Cheever’s Cafe. This cozy OKC staple dishes out unforgettable plates like crispy chicken-fried steak, creamy shrimp & grits, and legendary bread pudding that will haunt your dreams in the best way. Tucked inside a historic flower shop, it’s the perfect spot for a laid-back lunch or a celebratory dinner after a big day at the seminar.

2. Paseo Arts District / Plaza District

Feeling inspired by all the new ideas at the seminar? Keep the creativity flowing with a visit to the Paseo Arts District or the Plaza District. These neighborhoods are packed with vibrant murals, indie boutiques, cozy coffee shops, and some of the best local eats you’ll find. Whether you’re hunting for one-of-a-kind art or just want to wander and soak up the scene, these districts deliver charm in spades.

Paseo District Restaurant Picks

1. Frida Southwest: A moody ambiance filled with stacked enchiladas, fun cocktails, and amazing service. There is never a bad time here!
2. Sauced: This pizza joint has a full arcade and bar attached. It is the best for some family-friendly fun!
3. Gorro: Ramen! Ramen! Ramen! What else can we say?
4. Oso: Enjoy the patio with a margarita and a fish taco in hand. It is oso-good!

Insider tip: Sauced arcade has classic, retro, and game consoles! Open until midnight 7 days a week.

3. The Vault

For those who believe great conversations happen over great cocktails, The Vault is your spot. Located beneath the historic First National Center, this moody underground bar boasts over 1,500 spirits and a speakeasy vibe that’s hard to resist. It’s a fantastic place to toast a day full of learning — or brainstorm your next big idea with a side of artisanal mixology.

Not sure what to order? Trust the bartenders…. they’re wizards.

4. Riversport OKC

Ready to trade your conference badge for a life jacket? Riversport OKC is your ticket to adventure. Think whitewater rafting, zip lining, kayaking and yes, this is a real Olympic training facility. It’s family-friendly, thrill-seeker approved, and just plain fun. If you’re looking to mix a little adrenaline with your networking, this is where you’ll find it.

Bonus: The river views are incredible too.

5. Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing and a visit to the Memorial & Museum is a moving, essential experience. It’s not just history; it’s a story of hope and resilience that leaves a lasting impression. Walk the peaceful grounds, take in the powerful exhibits, and leave with a deeper appreciation for the spirit that defines OKC.

Pro tip: Bring tissues and leave some extra time to explore the beautifully designed outdoor grounds.
