Who is Candid Color Systems?
Established in 1972, Candid Color Systems (CCS) has been the nationwide leader in special events photofinishing and photography for more than 30 years. Our goal has always been to provide our customers with fast, premium quality photofinishing. We also strive to provide tools and methods for marketing your photographs, which results in a competitive advantage in the fast changing world of photography.
We now specialize in group, panoramic, special events, candid, action sports, youth sports, race, wedding, dance, graduation, Glamour Shots and portrait photography and photofinishing. We produce a large array of products for each of these market types including our trademarked Party Pics® product. We currently provide our marketing tools and methods, photofinishing and support for customers in all 50 U.S. states, 2 U.S. territories and 9 countries.
Party Pics® Trademark
In the late 1960’s, an entrepreneurial college student named Jack Counts Jr. picked up a camera, took pictures at fraternity parties, had the pictures developed and sold them to fraternity members. Unable to find a lab that could turn around the orders quickly and inexpensively, a makeshift processing lab was created and the trademarked photographs called Party Pics® were born.
The Party Pics® concept soon spread until nearly every college, university and high school in the country is now photographed during parties, graduation ceremonies, special events, sports and groups (bands, sports teams, sororities, cheer squads, etc). We now process these photographs for our customers to produce our trademarked Party Pics® product at our state-of-the-art processing lab.
Candid Color Systems licenses the use of the trademarked Party Pics® name to those who use Candid Color Systems as their professional photofinishing lab. (See the terms of the Party Pics® license agreement.) Party Pics® are now being produced for an array of events in addition to those that occur on school campuses. Party Pics® are produced for biker events, tailgating, corporate parties, concerts, parades and many other special events where candid photographs are taken.
Glamour Shots franchiser
After years of success in special events photography, Candid Color Systems introduced a new concept targeting the female portrait market called Glamour Shots. Glamour Shots has created a special niche in the portrait business by offering complete sessions, including makeover, wardrobe, instant proofing, onsite ordering and a fun all-around photography experience.

Candid Color Systems takes the lead in using technology advances to offer new products and services. CCS led the way over 15 years ago by developing electronic order entry. CCS offered what was considered an industry first in 1988 by allowing customers to view their proofs on a video proofing monitor right after a photo session and place an order instantly. Our state-of-the-art version of the video proofing and point-of-sale program is now available to photographers worldwide.
Online Marketing
Candid Color Systems continues to further advance ordering systems with our Quicpics® online ordering system. Quicpics® is a simple and fast solution for marketing and producing your digital images. Use our online system to place your print orders or allow your customers to place their orders online. Our system is designed to save you time and effort so that you can focus on growing your business.
Graphics on prints

Speculation Photography
Candid Color Systems believes in offering systems that allow our customers to photograph on speculation. Our systems allow photographers to shoot their work, produce or email proofs, offer online ordering and place orders electronically or online. We offer fees based on sales rather than burdening the photographer with upfront costs. We want our customers to have the flexibility to try new markets and ideas. CCS allows our customers to grow by continuing to innovate in their field.
